Austin Wayne Self Gaining Valuable Track Time at Berlin Raceway

On August 3rd Austin Wayne Self gained valuable track time at Berlin Raceway in Maine, Michigan. After a trying day Austin may not have gone home with the win, although the track time and experience gained in the #77 Scott Neal Super Late Model will be advantageous come August 10th when Austin races in the Primera Plastics 200 with the ARCA racing series.

After leaving NJMP with a solid top 10 finish Austin will now race the 22 AMTS Cunningham Dodge in a series that is both fostering Austin’s driver development and serving as a proving ground for his innate talent. The ARCA series will run Berlin raceway this weekend on the .4 mile oval with a start time of 8:30 p.m. Austin’s best finish this season so far came from Winchester speedway, despite a varied banking, the .5 mile Winchester track and Berlin Raceway boast a similar racing style that suits Austin’s top performance. “I am really excited about racing this track and after racing last weekend we have experience that will help us, I am ready to go race!”-AWS

This night race will air on the NBC Sports Network, August 15 at 11 PM ET.
