Austin Wayne Self Making Second ARCA Series Start with Cunningham Motorsports

June 25, 2013 – Mooresville, NC –Coming off of a respectable 6th place finish at Toledo Speedway in his ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards debut in May, Austin Wayne Self is looking forward to his next ARCA start.

Up next for the #22 team is the Herr’s Chase the Taste200 at the historic .5-mile Winchester Speedway. It is one of the oldest speedways in America, debuting in 1914 as a flat, dirt track. The high banking was added 8 years later, with the pavement being added in 1952. The current 33-degree banking configuration has remained mostly unchanged for over 90 years. 2013 will be the ARCA Series 24th visit to the short track, with Cunningham Motorsports securing the reigning championship status at Winchester. They have claimed the last two checkered flags, winning with Alex Bowman in 2012 and Dakoda Armstrong in 2011. Austin Wayne Self will be piloting the #22 AM Technical Solutions Dodge this weekend. Self competed in May at the Toledo Speedway, finishing 6th in his first ARCA Series start. Looking forward to the upcoming weekend, Self said, “I am super excited to head to Winchester. I’ve heard many good things about the track!! After a solid run at Toledo, I think we will pull off another great run….not to mention Cunningham has won the past two races there!!”

Practice is scheduled from 12:05-12:50 and 2:05-2:50, followed by Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell at 5:00 EST on Saturday. 200 laps of racing will begin at 2:00 Sunday, with live timing and scoring available at www.arcaracing.com. As ARCA announced this weekend, NBC Sports Network will air four ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards races in August, beginning with the premier Thursday, August 1 of the Winchester Speedway race, at 11:00 pm EST.
