Austin Wayne Self Travels to America’s Heartland Riding Momentum

May 3, 2016 (Austin, Texas) – Coming off his career best finish at Martinsville (15th) in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), Austin Wayne Self has renewed confidence heading into Friday’s NCWTS Toyota Tundra 250 at Kansas Speedway.

“After my last run I’m really looking forward to strapping back into the seat at Kansas,” said Self.  “Our AM Technical Solutions team continues to make big strides on and off the tra12794741_967824813267498_8255410450086602087_ock.  I’m focused on doing my part and keeping up the momentum this weekend.”

Riding momentum, the 20-year old driver looks to continue his steady improvement behind the wheel of the No.22 AM Technical Solutions-Black’s Barbeque Toyota.  Self, driving for the newly formed AM Technical Solutions Toyota team has scored three top-20 finishes thus far during his NCWTS rookie campaign – placing him third in the highly competitive ’16 Rookie of the Year contest.

“Austin and team are coming off of their best finish of his Truck Series career at Martinsville, so we are really looking forward to cheering them on in Kansas. They’ve been able to learn so many valuable lessons, and apply what they’ve learned to consistently improve race after race. We expect their commitment to teamwork and communication to continue, and we hope to see the team get their first Top 10!” says Dan Codi, CEO of AM Technical Solutions.

Self, currently occupying the 15th spot in the NCWTS driver championship point standings, has bettered his finishing spot each week since the series opener at Daytona in mid-February – Finishing 19th, 16th and 15th, the Texas native maintains a respectable 16.7 average race finish.

Looking ahead to a busy month of racing Self and the AM Technical Solutions Toyota team had a successful test last week at the Monster Mile in preparation for the May 13th event at Dover International Speedway.
