Texas Company, ACE Asphalt, Becomes a Figurative Rally Cap as They Join the AWS Racing Team for the Remainder of the ARCA Racing Season in Pursuit of the Championship
Austin, Texas — Texas companies continue to rally behind young race car driver, Austin Wayne Self. ACE Asphalt, one of the largest road and parking lot construction companies in the country, joined the AWS Racing team for the remainder of the ARCA and Central Texas Speedway race season. Throughout the season, Self and his team made it their goal to help serve Texas businesses by spreading the word about Texas companies during the race season. Since the beginning of the season, Self has acquired over ten Texas-based sponsors that he represents on the track.
ACE Asphalt saw a great potential in joining the AWS Racing team. The young driver is currently third in the running for the ARCA Championship and second for the ARCA Short Track Challenge Championship. With one of his best performing short tracks coming up, the decision was a no brainer,
“ACE Asphalt is proud to partner with Texas Driver, Austin Wayne Self, in pursuit of the ARCA race series Championship. Like Austin, we share a passion for asphalt. So it only makes sense to support a great representative of the racing industry and the great state of Texas.” – Travis Berry, Director of Sales
Travis Berry got it right when he spoke about the pair’s passion for asphalt. When you think about all of the traveling this kid does, tests, practices and races, he probably spends the majority of his time during the season rollin’ and racin’ on asphalt.
The company got their first taste of a successful partnership with the AWS Racing team this past weekend at Central Texas Speedway (CTS). Self made the journey back to Texas during his weekend off in the ARCA Series to hop into a late model at his home track, CTS. This was the first race that the AWS crew would be featuring new partner, ACE Asphalt on the hood of their race machine. Self started the late model race in the 4th spot and took his team all the way to Victory Lane!
“It’s always exciting to gain a new partnership in this sport. It’s even more exciting when we can take those partners to Victory Lane, especially during their first time being featured on the race car! I hope this got ACE Asphalt stoked for the next round. I’d like to keep the momentum going into Salem this weekend and grab two Victories in two different series, two weeks in a row.” – Austin Wayne Self
Self heads to Salem Speedway this weekend for the final short track race of the ARCA season. Self has performed well here in the past and will look to take the ARCA Short Track Challenge Championship by the end of the night at Salem.
