Racecar driver and Texas native, Austin Wayne Self is proud to announce a new partnership with another local Texas brand, Texas Tea®. Texas Tea® joined up with the young driver just before his race at Pocono. They were featured on Self’s 98 AM Technical Solutions car and will continue to have a presence throughout the race season. Self was particularly excited about this new partnership because he’s been a fan of Texas Tea® for years. He stated that he couldn’t wait to share the different flavors with his team members at the shop and try new flavors himself.

We tried it for the first time at a TCU football game, where they had special edition bottles with Jerry Hughes and RG3, 2 owners of Texas Tea®, on the label. Since moving to North Carolina to be closer to the shop and my team, it’s been really important to me to stay close to my roots. I’ll always be a Texan no matter where I am and partnering with companies like Texas Tea® helps me remember that. We already drink a lot of sweet tea around the shop, now we have the best Texas Tea®. Texas Tea® is an all natural blend of Organic, Fair Trade white, green, or black tea with local Texas ingredients such as Nacogdoches blueberries, Poteet strawberries, Fredericksburg peaches, Austin Goodflow Honey and more. Each flavor represents a city in Texas famous for a certain type of fresh produce.
Since its inception in 2009, Texas Tea® has gained the support of Texas native NCAA football stars Jerry Hughes, Robert Griffin III and Brian Orakpo, who now play in the NFL! Austin Wayne Self will be the first race car driver to join the effort in raising awareness about Texas Tea® and while he hasn’t reached NASCAR yet, his fan base is the largest in his series.
Texas Tea® is now growing outside of Texas adding distributors and retailers such as Sprouts, Target and Walmart. By featuring 
Texas Tea® on the 98 AM Technical Solutions machine and sharing his love for the tea brand, Self hopes to raise awareness on the east coast of Texas Tea®. His fan base back in Texas is sure to hear about it also.
