Austin Wayne Self Quote: “We fought hard with our No. 22 AM Technical Solutions | GO TEXAN Chevrolet Silverado RST. We were just tight, way too tight.

“Jamie (Jones, crew chief) did a good job adjusting the truck and we were able to get it better but we just could not get the grip we really needed to move forward through the field, especially at the end of the race.

“I’m still really proud of the AM Racing team though. Everyone did a magnificent job all season long and when we get back to the shop on Monday, it’s all in on getting ourselves ready for a great 2023!”

Next Up: NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona (Fla.) Speedway on Fri., February 17, 2022, live on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) | Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 90.
