Browning to lead Self in rookie season

AwsBrowning to lead Self in rookie season:AM Racing has hired veteran NASCAR crew chief Marc Browning to head the team’s at-track efforts with driver Austin Wayne Self in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for the 2016 season, the organization announced. Browning, a native of Dundee, MI, has a background rich with experience in the upper levels of NASCAR, including a stint as a member of Kyle Busch’s Sprint Cup Series crew at Joe Gibbs Racing. Browning has also worked with numerous other drivers including Johnny Sauter, Landon Cassill and Parker Kligerman as a crew chief in the NCWTS and Xfinity Series. Browning is no stranger to Self or AM Racing, as he was Self’s crew chief when Self won at Winchester in the ARCA Racing Series last season. AM Racing has also hired Patrick McGee (formerly of Roush Fenway Racing) as truck chief. Rob Winfield will fill the role of front-end mechanic, Perry Mitchell as underneath mechanic and Zach Yager as interior mechanic and tire specialist for the #22 truck.(AM Racing)(2-4-2016)
