Martinsville Speedway Race Notes:
Making his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Start, 19-year Justin Fontaine finished 26th behind the wheel of his AM Racing prepared ProMatic Automation Toyota Tundra.
Fontaine, who qualified 28th battled hard behind the wheel of his No.22 ProMatic Automation Toyota gaining valuable experience in his NCWTS debut. Not uncommon to hard short track racing, Fontaine lost his brakes early to overheating. Forced to navigate traffic with strained brakes the rookie driver lost several laps to the leaders early. After several pit stops and work to cool the brakes Fontaine rebounded to finish the race in the 26th position.
Martinsville Speedway Post Race Quote:
“What a great feeling making my truck series debut at such a legendary track like Martinsville. I had a lot of fun out there today. I am proud of my guys for all their hard work and support this weekend. We struggled a bit early and started losing the brakes. But once we were able to get some clean air and cool them off things got a lot better. We stuck with our plan and had a great truck overall. I picked up a lot of experience – great day overall. Thanks to AM Racing and ProMatic Automation for making all this happen.” -Justin Fontaine
