NASCAR driver Austin Wayne Self to attend 2017 Presidential Inaugural Ball

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – While members of his AM Racing team are readily preparing for the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season, driver Austin Wayne Self joined by AM Racing president Tim Self will attend Thursday night’s Black Tie & Boots Presidential Inaugural Ball at the Gaylord National Harbor in Maryland.

Self’s No. 22 ‘Trump-Pence Make America Great Again’ Toyota Tundra that competed in last October’s fred’s 250 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway will also be on display for event attendees.

Designated as a V.I.P. for the black-tie affair, Self will sign autographs from 10:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. at the National Harbor Sports Bar as part of his entertainment responsibilities on Jan. 19.

20-year-old Self participated in his first presidential election this past November and has been vocal about showing his support for president-elect Donald Trump and vice president Mike Pence.

“I’m very humbled to have the opportunity to represent AM Racing at Thursday night’s Black Tie & Boots Presidential Inaugural Ball,” said driver Austin Wayne Self. “We were proud of our commitment to show support to the Republican party at Talladega with a strong top-15 finish.

“While I’m excited to have our Talladega truck on display, I said last October that politics has never been really that important to me until recently, but now more than ever we need change. President elect Donald Trump and his values are in line with my beliefs. I’m a big supporter of his business background and believe his experience is what our country has been waiting for. I’m excited to continue to show my support with those closest to me as we welcome a new president into office.”

The state of Texas, home of both Self and his primary partner AM Technical Solutions, has a strong reputation for its longstanding support of the Republican Party. For team principal and owner Tim Self, he is proud to be a part of a historical event.

“Our mission with the ‘Trump-Pence Make America Great Again’ truck was to make a small difference,” said AM Racing owner Tim Self. “I felt we did that and more. Now, we’re proud to stand beside our new president and his staff and rebuild our country on a foundation of Godly values.

“Thursday night will be a remarkable night for our AM Racing team and I couldn’t be more proud.”

News of AM Racing’s Trump-Pence presidential support garnished high marks in their home state of Texas. As a proud partner of the Texas Departure of Agriculture’s GO TEXAS agri-business program, the second-year NASCAR team received kudos from the commissioner of Agriculture, among other supporters.
